Online Holiday Auction Open NOW until December 15!!!!

Our auctions take place in the Spring and in the Fall in conjunction with our Ripple of Hope Gala.

Bono donated his sunglasses. Oprah gave a meet and greet and tickets to one of her last shows.   With over 100 items, including a tour of Jay Leno’s rare car collection and George Lucas’s personal Indiana Jones hat signed by Harrison Ford, there is literally something for everyone.  Lunch with your favorite celebrity, tour historical sites with famous authors, cook a dinner with a world renown chef, experience sporting events from coveted seats, and so much more.  There is something for everyone and donors generously give of themselves to provide our bidders with truly once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

By participating in an RFK Center’s auction, you will stand for something extraordinary. You will represent communities in Haiti still struggling to re-build, and facing a cholera epidemic while access to health care is a dream deferred.  You will give voice to the women and children of Zimbabwe, just as our 2009 RFK Human Rights Award Laureate Magdonga Mahlangu does each day with her peaceful protests and education efforts.

You will support the farm workers of New York State and Florida - still battling modern day slavery conditions, while pesticide exposure poisons their bodies and the children work instead of attending school.  You will bring to life the stories of human rights struggles by opening the pages of Speak Truth to Power for millions of students globally, and you will support indigenous groups in Guerrero, Mexico, targeted for abuse in the wake of demands for education for their communities.

In recent years, the RFK Center made significant progress on the very issues you believe are important:

  • We secured loans which the Bush administration had withheld, so that water treatment facilities are now running in Haiti.
  • We investigated and wrote the seminal report on food aid, and our recommendations are now the lead basis for the transformation of U.S. aid overseas.
  • We partnered with teachers and teachers’ unions across the United States and around the world to reject the notion of students as information dump buckets. Instead we engage kids in creating change on justice issues in their classrooms, communities, countries and our shared globe. Young people thereby find the courage within to self-identify not as by standers, but as human rights defenders.
